Watermelon Whimsy Table Runner

Hi there! I am super excited to share my newest pattern with you guys!!  I have had so much fun creating this pattern.  I have a love for all things watermelon right now - and this table runner is perfect for your summer table!

21.5" x 46.5"
Watermelon Whimsy Pattern

This pattern is a mixture of piecing and raw-edge appliqué.  I don't share a ton of appliqué patterns - but I LOVE appliqué.  It is so easy and you can really change up the look of the final product by how you stitch your appliqué on.  I love to do some messy sketch stitching on my appliqué pieces - I love the scrappy/primitive look.  The other thing I love so much about stitching my appliqué on this way - is that you don't have to be perfect! That's the point!  No super straight lines here! Just a lot of fun stitching to give your runner some character!

For my quilting - I did a meandering pattern on the background.  I left the black border alone, and then did some meandering on the red gingham border.   The binding is the black swiss dot - which I think just finishes the table runner off nicely!

*SOLD OUT* We have kits available for this and it INCLUDES THE BACKING AND BINDING!  So pick up a kit and you will have EVERYTHING you need to make this sweet project!

Adorable. I have no use for a table runner but as soon as I saw this I knew it needs to be a nice Summer tote bag...
